Meet the Team at Illuminations Lighting

Kim Forrest joined Illuminations Lighting Design as Controller in July 2012, bringing more than 40 years of experience in corporate accounting, management, commercial property management, and computer networking. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Kansas State University.

Kim plays a vital role in overseeing the company’s financial operations and supporting its continued growth. Her expertise in cash flow management, budgeting, and financial planning has been a tremendous asset to the organization and contributes to the company’s long-term success.

Outside of work, Kim enjoys traveling, gardening, reading, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.

Vicky Menchaca joined the Illuminations Lighting Design team in November 2015, bringing a versatile skill set that spans accounting, human resources, and office management. She began her academic journey at Houston Community College, earning a certificate in Business Administration, and later advanced by studying Human Resources Management at Rice University. Vicky’s diverse career background includes building her accounting fundamentals within a corporate structure before transitioning to an agile, small-business atmosphere as a bookkeeper for a manufacturing company.

Today, she keeps daily operations running seamlessly by maintaining financial records, processing invoices, managing payments, and coordinating vendor communications. Known for her innovative mindset and strong leadership skills, Vicky leverages her bilingual fluency in English and Spanish to provide exceptional support to clients and team members alike.

Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, cooking, fishing, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Cesar Garay joined Illuminations Lighting Design in November 2014 as an Apprentice Electrician and has grown within the company through his dedication, technical expertise, and strong work ethic. He earned his Journeyman’s license in 2024. Today, as the generator department manager, Cesar oversees generator installations, maintenance, and service operations while helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

With years of hands-on experience in the electrical industry, Cesar plays an important role in supporting both the field team and clients through dependable service and leadership. His commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction has made him a valued member of the team.

Outside of work, Cesar enjoys listening to podcasts, engine repair, participating in church activities, and spending time with family and friends.

Fred Guevara joined Illuminations Lighting Design in August 2024 as Service Manager. In his role, Fred oversees service operations, coordinates maintenance and repair schedules, and works closely with clients and team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and with exceptional attention to detail.

With a strong commitment to customer service and operational excellence, Fred plays an important role in supporting the company’s reputation for quality and reliability. His leadership, problem-solving skills, and dedication to client satisfaction make him a valuable addition to the Illuminations Lighting Design team.

Outside of work, Fred enjoys walking in the park, reading, practicing Jiu-Jitsu, and spending time with family and friends.

Mike Martinez joined Illuminations Lighting Design in April 2011, and has been an essential part of the team ever since. As Warehouse Manager, Mike oversees daily warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and logistics coordination to ensure projects and deliveries run smoothly and efficiently.

Known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail, Mike plays a key role in maintaining organization and supporting the company’s commitment to excellent service. His hands-on leadership and dedication have made him a valued member of the team for more than a decade.

Outside of work, Mike is an avid Houston Texans supporter and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
