The September 2009 Site selected by Focus Industries features a stunning landscape lighting project for your viewing pleasure that was designed by Rick Luberger of Illuminations Lighting Design.
In Rick’s initial discovery meeting with the client, they expressed concerns for security lighting with an aesthetic appeal. Rick created a warm sense of arrival and welcome by using Focus DL-22-BRS fixtures with 35 MR16 wide floods and linear spread lenses for facade lighting. The fixtures were ground mounted, 4′ on center, roughly 15” out from the foundation. The brass constructed fixtures retard the corrosive effects of Houston’s humid climate. Focus low voltage transformers with dimmer controls allowed Rick to dim the lighting to the perfect intensity. The home security lighting was accomplished through the installation of DL-20 and DL-30 down light fixtures mounted in the upper canopies of the native Oak and Pine trees. SL-20 well lights were also used to illuminate the Magnolia tree The shadowed lighting effect provided the desired security protection with an aesthetic flare.
